ABOUT ME

Studying Graphic Design has taught me new skills such as learning to use Adobe Creative Suite, produce editorial design and progress my abilities in using illustrator. Also studying Photography has enabled me to learn new techniques such as using the dark room, the rules of composition and gaining understanding of the features on the camera. My final subject, Art & Design has given me the opportunity to experiment with materials like mod-rock, ink and expanding foam. By studying three art based A Levels, I feel that they have complimented each other really well. Since starting my A Levels, I have gained confidence in creating my work and communicating with others. This experience has enabled me to develop my personal skills such as; keeping my work organised and sticking to deadlines which are also great qualities to have going into employment.

Being part of The Collective Studio has helped me gain an insight into a career in the design sector. An example of this is when we are given a brief by a client. We then have to fulfil their demands, sticking to deadlines and work with particular design specifics. By working on projects with others, this has helped me work as a team player and learning to adapt to other peoples ideas and concepts. Other projects I worked on include designing a poster for The Brexit Party at my college's mock election and recently creating notices to promote social distancing at college . Having all of this experience has strengthened my desire to become a graphic designer in the future and has helped me prepare for my further learning at university.
